Eat Dessert first...

Greetings good citizen, yesterday's events bring home the swiftness with which a 'new reality' can come to pass. You can't prepare for...not a good term to hang on yesterday's violence, some are calling it a massacre and others are calling it slaughter...but the presence of rifles with optics suggest it may have been an 'execution'.

The 'slaughter' was only to provide cover for the 'premeditated part'.

It's not something that is likely to come out in the wash as there are those who desire to make political hay out of the event.

Gun control is always a wise idea, hell, I'm against letting the less than mentally competent vote...or drive for that matter!

Legislation good but reality tells us it's IMPOSSIBLE to 'outlaw' crazy.

More problematic...'crazy' is a relative term...often not making itself apparent until after the fact.

Was this whole 'spectacle' staged JUST so his life insurance wouldn't be voided? [Did I mention we're doing the whole money thing WRONG?]

Um, my readers know the problem is MUCH deeper than just 'gun control', the entire legal system that allows debacles like this to keep happening needs to be trashed!

But I digress, today's point is the 'uncertainty' of life under an 'inequitable' social model like the current F.U. - Pay me! scheme.

Even under the most utopian of utopias there will still be dissidents. The 'dissatisfied' come in a wide variety of mindsets...from the bible thumper [actually ANY religion] who 'disapproves' of others 'callous disregard' for The Word

To the civic minded that feel 'overworked' and 'underappreciated'.

Perhaps the most dangerous of them all is the zealot who believes the LAZY needs to be taught a lesson in appreciation!

Perception is NEVER CLEAR as yesterday's violence is increasingly being pinned on 'insanity'.

Yesterday's massacre was well planned. How did the shooter get cases [18 Long rifles and a handgun] into the hotel unseen by the staff? No red flags? Do westerners NORMALLY travel with large quantities of firearms?

Even if he was an arms DEALER, why bring them into his room with him?

Not a single raised eyebrow...and we can only wonder what NORMAL is for Las Vegas...

Just a few things to think about both as this shitshow unfolds and when you order dinner tonight...eat dessert first because you may not be around if you wait until later.

We will never know the whole story but it sure looks like more than a few 'procedural issues' need to be dealt with.

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner
