Greetings good citizen, It seems we survived [or perhaps persist is a better word.] As I have peached lo' these past twenty years, nothing will change until the system changes.
Don't listen to the pundits, they pretend all is right with the world and maybe it is in the stratified, cut-throat land they dwell in. They don't give a fuck about you or your world. You can go twist in the wind.
But I preacheth to the choir.

What is it about 'the system' that needs to be changed?

It's not a topic for debate, almost none of you have thought it through [because you prefer to let others think for you. A necessary but dangerous trait.]
What's wrong with the system?
It's UNSUSTAINABLE!
And as long as 'the agenda' remains beyond your reach it can't be fixed.
Climate change is literally spanking us silly and only now had it made its way onto the political stage.
Is climate change the crux of the problem?
No! It's Capitalism!
Do the math, ONE planet, that needs to be shared by an exponentially growing population [hint: unchecked population growth is the primary obstacle facing mankind's future on this planet.
What is being done about it?
We have a Supreme court outlawing the abortion of UNWANTED PREGNANCIES!
Cray-Cray, right?
It's also a pipe dream to think we're going to stop people from scratching their itch every chance they get...so what's the answer?
Mass sterilization with the harvesting and storage of sperm & ovum for future use by people qualified to raise children.
Stupid is the belief in dumb things. It is beyond dumb to believe anyone capable of creating a life is also competent to raise that life. [The 'law of the jungle' culled the 'unwary' but civilization has negated the beneficial effects of what Darwin termed natural selection.]
IF we don't get a handle on the population and the criminals running it for fun and profit mankind will go extinct.
Nature doesn't play dice. We have survived this long by controlling our environment. Once stupid is given the upper hand the situation will quickly spiral out of control and extinction will be inevitable, [isn't that right Q?]
No one can deny we are neck-deep in stupid and that has been made worse by fantastical thinking with zero logic behind it.
It is NOT POSSIBLE to 'elect' competence. A leader must have VISION and the ability to demonstrate that vision and its viability. A leader recognizes what needs to be done AND knows how to do it.
We don't need 'lawmakers' we need leaders who can be held accountable for their actions.
That isn't going to happen as long as the feckless can shrug and point at their ideological opponents and claim it's their fault.
Your children's future hangs in the balance...
