If we look back in history we'd discover that 'marching in protest' [mini 'shows of force/solidarity'] are reasonably recent social developments that date back to the advent of mass media. It has yet to prove effective save as providing the media with usable footage of 'stupid people in action'.
There isn't ONE 'hippy' out there shouting about the 'effectiveness' of protest marches or the political power of public displays of 'defiance' like chaining yourselves together or other stupid ideas the none too bright and more than a little frustrated have cooked up over the decades. [Some of these ideas are so stupid they could only have come from a media eager for a photo op!]
Now 'walks' for just about any cause under the sun are common and we have to ask ourselves why the ONLY PROVEN EFFECTIVE method of protest [The Strike] was 'abandoned' by the IGNORANT BASTARDS PRETENDING TO LEAD US?

This nation should have stopped in its tracks the second Reagan 'fired' PATCO!
But NO...and we can only wonder 'why?'
Why did nobody strike in sympathy for the stiff-armed PATCO members?
Because it was 'illegal'. If your union called a sympathy strike, it could be legally 'disbanded' for illegal activity and fined out of existence. [In case you're wondering why unions no longer exist.]
WTF! WE [you and me] ARE THE LAW! Guess that got lost somewhere in that 'Morning in America' coup which coincides with the abandonment of teaching 'civics' by our educational system.
Who knew ignorance could be so powerful? [Some of you fail to see the significance of abandoning civics as a subject taught in school. Today's bankrupt political process is the result. CIVICS taught young citizens what their RIGHTS were and what was expected of them as adult members of society. WITHOUT THIS INSTRUCTION YOUR RIGHTS ARE WHATEVER THEY SAY THEY ARE!]
Thus the need to put the law beyond the reach of the self-interested [especially the my way or the highway crowd.]
This was almost immediately after Morning in America and part of the 'legend' of Ronnie Reagan [still THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER, even the current created by TV phenomenon has some ground to cover to catch up to what St. Ronnie did to this country in the name of 'patriotism'.] Although Trump has fallen into the 'sock puppet mold' created by Reagan as he dutifully obeys his masters by destroying the nation's credibility as the infamous they prepare to scuttle the Western Economy.
STARTING with REAGAN and continuing to this day the freakishly selfish will have their 'historians' point at the events they [the feckless few] are directly responsible for and blame the failure of democracy for the 'fall' of the West.
Which brings us to yesterday's rhetorical question...can we still call it democracy if we are doing it wrong?
A civilization without the H.A.E. isn't civilization at all, it is the rule of tyrants and the failure of liberty.

If we fail to halt the (increasingly automated) productions lines 'surplus humanity' will be forced to combat the 'useful idiots' for table scraps.
The 'center of civilization' will continue its relentless march around the planet leaving devastation in its wake IF WE FAIL TO STOP THEM!
If we fail to remove the stupid from positions of responsibility we will pay with our existence.
