Greetings good citizen, the public, tired of satisfaction being restricted to the freakishly wealthy are losing patience with government's 'stonewalling'.
This 'contest of wills' is having a serious detrimental effect upon society but not where it counts...and that's where we need to bring pressure to bear.
Politics has always been about the welfare of the freakishly wealthy, the public or society be damned. If the people are suffering the wealthy shield themselves from the blowback and turn a blind eye to their plight.
Number one complaint about government [ever and always] remains 'unresponsiveness'. New office holder, old office holder, doesn't matter...same shit, different day.
Ironic that this on the surface looks like a 'money problem' but it is in fact a LEGAL PROBLEM!
So the question is will politics evolve to address this [now ancient] schism or will the self-interested continue with their insistence that the problem is intractable and doesn't have a solution.
I can solve it in seconds, in fact (almost) any [non wealthy] individual can.
Those who have helped themselves to the 'golden trough' don't use money to live or to facilitate specialization, they use it to fend off prosecution and insure public policy FAVORS THEM!
As long as CASH exists, there will be 'corruption'.
Eliminate cash and corruption goes poof! [Can you hear the hackers scoffing? They can make as much money as they like...they just can't spend it because the uh-oh squad will frog-march them into exile in a heartbeat...that's what they exist for.
Get caught hacking the mainframe and we'll stake your stupid backside to an [fire] ant mound. Exile isn't the only tool in the bag just as prison isn't the 'worst' they can do to you.
Legal and actual are and always have been two separate things.
Between being 'held accountable' and the elimination of what makes politics 'so lucrative' we will be forced to resort to an alternative method for choosing leaders. [Too funny that unlike the current method, the tests are qualification based!]
Reality tells us it's only a matter of time before the pot blows up and we have a repeat of the same failed dance we've had dozens of times before.
They are TRYING to re-institute autocracy so nothing will change but we've been there before.
I think this time computers will save us from having to go all the way around the mulberry bush. With modern technology society can finally go 'cashless'.
[Not that there won't be those who will attempt to turn back the clock so they can restore the abuse of money for their own personal benefit.]
That's 'conservatism' for ya!
Oh, the answer to the question Why are there two political parties if we're all in this together? Two is supposed to keep them 'honest'...but if they are both 'creatures of corruption' you're screwed.
The secondary argument for more than one political party is to prevent 'group think'...but even that is a chimera. No, all we need what we already have and a level playing field that keeps the debate honest and healthy.
Preventing 'parties' curbs 'group think' that turns into political stasis.
Frightening how the opponents [Conservatives] learned to use 'group think' to destroy their opposition?
They didn't have ANY ideas but they co-opted the title (of the party of ideas) to make their opponents look weak...and they were weak. Too busy splitting hairs when they should have been defending the basic rights of ordinary citizens but that too is a 'side effect' of humanities 'opportunist' tendencies.
So the criminals among us finally succeeded in buying the regulatory process and set put to butter their bread on both sides, society be damned and, as you WELL KNOW, you're 'soaking in it'!
As they try to engineer a 'return to authoritarianism' will you just sit there and wait for your few remaining rights to be stripped from you.
Consider your position. The surplus population is enormous, they can kill a shitload of us and still have a viable population! [depending on how you parse it, that number could be relatively tiny (a million or two.)]
The other factor to consider is it only takes ONE [to turn the Earth to glass] While there is a cabal of greed-heads, it only take one to shove our species into the cesspit it has dug for itself [thanks to gross mismanagement!]
I will once again draw your attention to money and how it is ABUSED by those who don't want YOU to have a better life.
Think about that one while you mentally parse the benefits of multi-party politics [that result in deadly stasis.]
Society exists to improve the lives of its citizens, not to enrich the freakishly selfish at everyone else's expense!
We could implement A Simple Plan tomorrow and there isn't anything THEY can do to stop us.
In fact the ONLY thing stopping us is YOU...
Say you want a revolution or are you really fat, stupid and happy?
Um, 'democracy' (of the authoritarian brand) has passed its expiration date, things WILL change.
The 'wildcard' is for whom will they change?
As it stands, things that concern you will only get WORSE if you aren't behind the 'winning' team. [If you're at the bottom of that barrel the MOST you can hope for is 'stasis' [that your situation will continue to deteriorate 'incrementally'.] The 'revolution' isn't for YOU, its an excuse to wipe out the 'whiners' and malcontents.
Two ways to 'manage' a civilization and the 'preferred' way is to regularly beat the public into submission [while quietly teaching the children the ways of corruption that keep the 'animals' in line.]
The 'grooming' is endless and the result is, ever and always, 'entitlement'.
Stupid is as stupid does and grandpa stupid has promised his grandchildren the empire he was BORN INTO!
If we don't break the chain the oppression will continue.
What's that? You've got it 'pretty good?'
It's what's known as 'fatal myopia' a selfish outlook that gets YOU killed because you don't know when to change with the times.
The coming revolt will be far from 'bloodless' and you can bet your bottom dollar you've already been 'targeted'.
Yeah, funny how everything is relative. To the homeless YOU are the One Percent [the old 'guilt by association' card. The friend of my enemy is my enemy.]
We know you did NOTHING and that's precisely their gripe.
Time for another session in front of the mirror, isn't it? Go, reflect and we'll try again tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by and opening your mind,
Gegner
