Greetings good citizen, you'd think the 'enlightened' among us would be more cautious with the planet's fragile eco-system but they act as though they could leave at any time.
Taken on the whole perhaps the most distressing trait of our 'self-professed betters' is their over arching disregard for the betterment of anything.
The only thing more puzzling than this is the general 'lack of concern' displayed by the public...a naivete fostered by just a passing belief in 'Spirit in the Sky'. Most of you don't buy that load of manure either but when it comes to taking action, 'God's Will' is your fallback position!
Um, for that you don't get to question why you constantly find yourself neck deep in stupid anymore, it's 'God's Will!'
The 'natives' [likely earlier shipwrecks] cared deeply about their environment, it is only now that we are asking ourselves just who were the 'savages' [and the answer is, the Europeans and their 'one god' fantasy!]
Sort of a difficult puzzle to wrap your head around but the many who believe god created them and that this is our one and only planet are mighty, er, 'blase`' about the capitalist's strip mining the place for their personal profit/enjoyment.
WTF? [Again, can't complain about being neck deep in stupid if YOU'RE part of the PROBLEM!]
Notice how those who claim to 'speak for god' have nothing to say about inequity or the deplorable way we treat one another [besides offering the feeble explanation that this is God's way of 'testing' us...[how stupid are they? again, WTF!]
If it IS a test, y'all flunked.
How sad is it that this all stems from the slave training you underwent as a child? You were trained to do as you were told and to NOT ask questions, which leads us to where we are today [the aforementioned 'neck deep in stupid!']
Is it a revelation to you that your life is the product of that 'obedience training?'
Not particularly humorous that this 'loop' keeps repeating itself [stupidity is its own reward...]
I'm not advocating joining a drum circle [but the cement heads among us will suggest exactly that, they don't want you doing anything that might upset the 'masters', who are bigger chickens than you imagine.] I am addressing the very real danger presented by allowing the feckless to continue to strip mine the planet for their personal enrichment, such as it is!
Civilization requires inputs but profits for the feckless requires recklessness! [The fact those words rhyme isn't a coincidence! One was 'coined' from the other.]
Those running things may have a way off this rock but YOU don't!
It costs us exactly NOTHING to put that theory to the test and the lives you save will most definitely be YOUR OWN!
