Greetings good citizen, white out conditions outside my diningroom window here just south of the NH Seacoast. For posterity purposes, the winter storm that dropped snow as far south as Alabama has finally arrived in a place that's no stranger to snowy conditions.
Great? For skiers and ski-mobile enthusiasts but not so much if 'frolicking in the snow' is something you did as a kid. Now all that's left is hoping it rains hot water sometime soon! [that and hoping you don't have a heart attack while you're shoveling it.]
Most of us have reached the age when we try to hold off on shoveling until the roads are mostly cleared to give the ambulance better odds of reaching you before its too late. How sad is that?
Well, maybe it's bad luck and maybe its failure to conceptualize but I'm sure more than a few of you have been looking for evidence that Numbnuts is making 'Murika Great again'...because so far his ONLY accomplishment has been blowing a trillion dollar hole in the federal budget.
We are taught that commerce has cycles so one is tempted to point to the slump in car sales as just 'one of those things', could it be the continued pauperization of the American Working class is what we're really seeing?
You bet your boots it is!
No wheels, no job is how it works. Making most of us wangle the best 'deal' we can just so we can get to our 'gigs' on time [no work no pay, just like Hong Kong, that former capitalist paradise!]
Services, Retail, Healthcare and Hospitality all have one thing in common, they are all 24/7. The other factor tying these fields together is they comprise the bulk of employment opportunities for the working class.
So what is the, er, 'decline' in the automotive market really telling us? Well, that your employees were also your customers, but it's too late for that now isn't it? Customers are gone and we 'hand to mouth' feeders can't afford new unless we're absolutely desperate. [Notice how used cars cost almost as much as new ones? That's the banks, exacting their pound of flesh for financing.] Most gigs don't pay enough for anyone to be able to buy a decent vehicle outright and financing them is simply outrageous...but you ignore this because there is nothing you can do about it, pay or walk!
They don't call it 'death by a thousand cuts' for nothing. This is the stuff 'heat or eat' is made of [all so 'a few' can be 'rich'...]
Aren't humans wonderful? [rhetorical question for those of you who have difficulty spotting sarcasm...]
Leading me to regurgitate my favorite saying once again, 'If you can't live on what your boss pays you it's not his problem, it's YOURS!'
Do you think the Donald will ever address this problem? [or would he just look at you and grab your pussy (whether you have one or not!)]
You know what (precisely) would make America GREAT [not again but for the first time] wages you can live on!
That's where the bar rests good citizen, EVERY job pays a wage that you could use to build your life! That would make humanity GREAT for the first time EVER! [Too ambitious? I don't think so.]
We could do it tomorrow [but first we'd have to 'pauperize the feckless' AND MAKE THEM GET A JOB!]
Those who economists tell us have a 'knack' for making money don't mind us draining their bank account for the greater good, those same economists also told us they'd get it all back...but again they didn't go into details, it's the 'knack' thing that leads us to ask 'how stupid do they think we are?'
To which the answer is, if you have to ask you really don't want to know. [Willful ignorance writ large!]
But the H.A.E. outlaws the ownership of resources and Anarchy [direct democracy] prevents the 'gaming' of the justice system. [Exile makes all of the ducks march in neat rows.] Step out of line and wave bye-bye!
That said you'll actually have to 'work at it' to get exiled. Being a dick will only make you friendless.
Which is to point out that the Grinches and Scrooges among us will NEVER 'disappear' [They will go into hiding behind that fake friendliness that most of us can see right through.] Your new future depends on your reputation, woe unto them who know not how to be a friend! Which goes double for backstabbers!

With my clear statement of how we can make [why stop at America, why not humanity?] GREAT not 'again' but for the first time! The 'again' part must be some code only Trump voters understand, sort of like a dog whistle...
How many of you would vote for me [not that it would accomplish anything, If elected, the first act would be to revolt! Boot your 'non-representatives' out of town and fire the royal rubber stamp court!
Then hand out pink slips to the rogue police across the nation.
Lawyers and judges will all have to find 'honest work' for once. [The law stands alone!]
Will there be chaos? Absolutely but only at first, eventually, as the knuckle draggers eliminate themselves from society, things will calm down and a new way of doing things will become the 'norm'. [The public's newfound right to avenge themselves figures heavily into this equation and the 'uh-oh squad' will use this same arena to winnow the wheat from the chaff.
Woe unto YOU if your reputation ALREADY precedes you.
If we fail to break the cycle [of exploitation] misery will be our collective lot.
