Perhaps we will look back upon this disturbing episode of US history and thank the nation's morons for finally motivating Congress to pass legislation prohibiting the mentally incompetent from participating in the political process.
In case anyone was wondering, it is the thin veneer that a majority of the electorate isn't smart enough to comprehend the nuanced issues facing humanity, many of which require action that are both prompt AND decisive [something at odds with the established 'snails pace' delivered by our 'deliberative method' of problem resolution...] ('Superior' my ass!) Life is backtracking and success belongs to the nimble!

Wait long enough and the public forgets what the issue even was although it was never resolved. Neither the collapse of capitalism nor the piss poor planning that endangers 50% of the planets population due to the 'unpredictable climate crisis' will wait while we sit back and 'ponder' (ever so slowly) the destruction being wrought upon our species.
Slow government is a myth used by the feckless to delay action on critical decisions that might affect the self-interested's financial outlook.
We may be a race of fools but, perhaps bizarrely, few are fooled by the machinations of the feckless. EVERYBODY KNOWS.
You'll forgive me for ignoring Bush the Greater's passing but NOBODY elected after LBJ is 'legitimate'. H.W. wasn't a president any more than the current pimple on the ass of society is. He was just a placeholder doing the bidding of the ghouls that run this shit show.
Please allow me to use this 'opportunity' to illustrate that this is the issue confronting the dwindling number of the mentally cognizant in the upcoming 2020 elections.
