One of the problems with 'freakish selfishness' is it has no 'borders', do a little and everything else just sort of falls into the 'what the heck' category. "In for a penny, in for a pound" as they said in 'Thunderbolt and Lightfoot'.
There is no such thing as a 'little rape' just as there is no such thing as a 'little robbery' and a 'little lie' is still a lie.
Does the fact that we all do it make it 'permissible'? [even in 'certain situations'] Worse, since truth is all 'relative' doesn't that mean ther is no such thing as a lie? [They all contain a little truth...]
This is the 'slippery slope' the feckless has put the media upon. The public has, er, 'used to be' cautioned to with hold judgement of what the media exposes because it is never the WHOLE STORY...and recognizing that, the Media USED TO exercise 'prudence' with what it used to sell readers/capture market share.

There are many right now repeating the mantra this kind of 'irresponsible reporting' produces, the one where the public starts thinking 'divine retribution' would be both timely and merciful because ALL PEOPLE are 'irredeemable'!
It's not all of us by a long shot. Does the problem worsen the closer you get to the 'golden trough'? Unquestionably and that's where the majority of the ROT is. The oppressed take few 'liberties', they know firsthand life is tough enough without someone else peeing in your cornflakes.
Why exercise 'restraint' when none of your peers do? The privileged believe overreach is their birthright! "I got all this and I'm always trying to scoop more into the pot marked for ME!" [F the rest of 'em...and the dumb ones twice!]
The young believe this is how things are supposed to be, they don't know any better. The old look at the 'carnival' this has turned into in horror and blame the young for being 'lax' or worse 'hedonistic'. Those in 'transition' [the few trying to raise a family on this treacherous ground] blame the older generation for not planning better and for blocking badly needed changes.
Let's put that 'fabricated nonsense' to bed.
The privileged old don't give a F and the 'discarded' old NEVER HAD A SAY! Between Morgan, Rockefeller and the Rothschild clans the current shitshow is payback for busting up their monopolies [which they have reassembled, thank you!] and we are living with our grandparents failure to EXECUTE the feckless when they had the chance...because we have to do it NOW or the conventions that permit civilization to exist will be breached permanently!
