Greetings good citizen/fellow human. Today's offering ventures into the region most of us seldom enter because it is considered 'settled business'. You are TAUGHT that you must work for your survival and being a SOCIAL creature you must do this for the benefit of an employer, who will pay you to do what needs doing then assume the risk of selling what you produced...hopefully for a profit.
This is where all discussion stops. Unsuccessful businesses close their doors and terminate their workers because they become 'insolvent'...although this may not be due to actual 'profitability'. The endeavor may still be perfectly viable but those managing the enterprise are either incapable or unwilling to live within THEIR means.
The push to 'diversify' sank many a venture due to the swindles posing as bonafide opportunities but again I digress: Today's topic, specifically, is 'work'.
Your average mouth breather is quick to point out that there is work out there if you want it, there always has been and there always will be.
Dumb-dumb doesn't address WHY there is work that goes begging. Why are there jobs that NOBODY [in their right mind] would do? Because the jobs that go begging DON'T PAY ENOUGH TO LIVE ON!
Job number one for every human on the planet is to satisfy the basic requirements of life. If your 'job' doesn't meet your minimum requirements you are going to DIE.
Why is it both our legislators and the feckless corporate owned media completely ignore this basic fact?
Both point to labor shortages economy wide and scratch their feeble heads wondering why nobody is stepping up to fill these jobs when the answer is simple.
If you can't live on what the job pays it's not the EMPLOYER'S PROBLEM, it's yours!
So we import workers to fill these imaginary gaps, often subsidizing them so they can 'afford' to do the jobs that don't pay the locals enough to live on. (Why employers do this isn't a empty question. Workers on visas are virtual slaves. Violate the conditions of your visa and you're sent back to the third world hellhole they picked you up from with zero pay and you'll be 'blackballed', you'll never get to return to the 'land of opportunity' ever again.)
It is literally legalized slavery...but so is much of what passes for 'employment' in our F-U, Pay Me! society.
The employer/employee 'contract' protects the employer at the employee's expense.
This should NOT be...and yes, I DO have a 'better idea'. How unfortunate for most of us that the people who like to butter their bread on both sides won't like it one bit. [and if THEY don't like it, it ain't happening...until we MAKE IT HAPPEN!]
It is 'sold' to us as youngsters with no experience in the ways of the world that the employer/employee relationship is 'symbiotic' so wholesome as to be something 'nature' created. Upon entering the workforce a new factor is introduced, that of it costs the same to feed a poor man as it does a rich one but the rich one can 'afford' to eat better...
Your wages are split between the multiple necessities while the rich man's profits are many times what the worker takes home...after taxes.
What they don't tell you is each worker is a profit center unto themselves. Unfortunately, not all of these workers are 'producers'. The ones that are pure 'overhead' can't be dismissed because they are vital to day to day operations.
All this 'buying and selling' is a chimera and the 'middle men' are pure 'expense', completely superfluous!
So it is this 'symbiosis' actually operates on 'desperation' with employers purposely holding wages down so share OWNERS can receive maximum return on investment (even when that investment is ZERO!)
If the truth ever came out about the currently crashing global economy the panic would be uncontainable.
The ONLY thing keeping the global economy 'solvent' is companies buying back their own stocks using borrowed money.
The end of TARP means the end of 'free money'.
When the government stops buying 'troubled assets' the people milking this BS for all it's worth are going to disappear into the woodwork and laugh as capitalism leaves it's bewildered followers to shriek over what FOOLS they have been played for...
Because civilization relies on 'trust'...making 'treachery' a capital crime.
There is 'nowhere to run' which should worry anybody with two brain cells still in communication with one another. The 'thieves' have the money AND the nukes. We can't stop them from taking the ('worthless') money but the nukes are another problem entirely.
The money can be wiped out but the giant flashbulbs are a bit more problematic and it only takes a couple to ruin a lot of people's foreseeable futures.
The thing the public needs to be aware of is ALL MONEY IS FUNNY, it is a tool used to make YOU jump through hoops (pretty much for nothing.)
If you can wrap your head around that fact and NOT PANIC when the financial markets suddenly collapse, it will be the non-event it should be.
That concludes today's offering,
Thanks once again for letting me inside your head,
Gegner
