Greetings good citizen, as the political circus continues to attempt to distract us from the steady destruction of our civilization, we find ourselves torn between the conflict of which problem we should address first? (Considering our options are very limited indeed...)
Chief among our woes is the issue of having yet another 'stolen election' on our hands. I know it's not just me that WANTS TO drain Washington dry and start over with a whole new system.
The last half dozen elections cycles have been the choice between 'bad and worse'...and wouldn't you know it, worse has won 4 times out of six!
Stupid electorate or rigged system? Does it matter?
Governments are established to PROTECT THE POWERLESS...when they cease to perform their function, it's time to CHANGE SYSTEMS!
Kind of hard to remember 'the purpose of government' when monarchies came to power by literally 'protecting the people', which eventually gave way to it no longer mattering which oppressor took you for everything you were worth, you were screwed either way!
So in all seriousness we shouldn't be mystified that few know the 'purpose of government' or that those in government turned protecting us into the more important task of protecting 'their job'.
Absolutely zero irony is lost on the fact that the only unions still in existence are in the so-called 'public sector', where you have to be related to somebody to get hired.
So revolt is beginning to look like a non-starter (because it goes beyond those who protect those who exploit the rest of us.)
Just the thing you're trying to avoid when you're building a team to protect ALL our children.
The scumbags turn a blind eye to YOUR kids as long as their kids are taken care of.
Just another one of those 'ropes or light poles, what will we run out of first?' moments.
So yes good citizen, the 'given' reason for establishing a government and the real reason are often at odds with one another but it still makes your blood crawl when our hand-picked, elected sleazebags stage photo ops with the victims of their mendacity/duplicity.
Another way of understanding the 'governed/governor relationship is the tacit agreement that the public won't take matters into their own hands should the governed 'slip up' along the way...but how much is too much?
If we started a list we'd be on the back of the 100th page by now!
Those charged with doing the job have failed repeatedly and since the same people have 'rigged the system' there's no way to replace the 'incompetent' and worse, no way to remove the corrupt using the existing system.
By default we need a new system!
One that does the job of protecting us all from those who would abuse their power over us...a job made oh so much easier by eliminating the bulk of what the self-interested abuse!
I'll refrain from running off the reservation here, there's no need to distact you with details. That said, I'm pretty sure most of you agree the current system falls short of 'discouraging' criminal behavior. Many joke our justice system is their back-up retirement plan. Off somebody and it's free room, board and healthcare for the rest of their life!
We'd have to change that, especially the part where if you work all your life you will most likely face hunger and destitution after you've been 'set out to pasture'...which is to opine that only the lucky ones retire and die.
Nothing is going to change if all we do is sit here an moan about the problem. Worse, we're facing yet another 'stolen election' where the media eliminated the only guy running that had our interests at heart!
We've witnessed the 'sideshow' the media has cursed us with and we want it to stop but how do you put an end to a system that has no ears?
They KNOW the public is fed up with being ignored.
What does this mean, good citizen?
The ballot box is supposed to be the remedy, not the problem!
Sure looks like SOMEBODY [ahem, the 1 percent?] wants us to do things THE HARD WAY!
Thanks for letting me inside your head,
Gegner
