A more perfect union...

Greetings good citizen, certain phrases not only seize our imagination but they also beg just who the heck do they mean? Obviously "We the People" doesn't include you OR I and then we have "In order to form a more perfect union" which begs the question 'with whom or between what?'

There are countless examples where 'failure to be specific' has resulted in colossal misunderstandings.

Ever wonder just who they were talking about in the statement 'All men are created Equal'? Do you wonder what happens that makes them decidedly 'unequal' so shortly after birth? If we're only 'equal' in the womb then why even go there, because it sounds good?

When rhetoric diverges too far from reality you find yourself dealing with a weasel, someone who says one thing and means another (if it isn't a boldface lie altogether.)

You see, weasels don't see themselves as 'liars', they have an 'unfortunate tendency to exaggerate' that is commonly 'misunderstood'.

Politicians, by dint of their 'profession' deal almost exclusively in 'half truths' and promises made to be broken. Why they believe 'smoothing the waters' takes precedence to bargaining in good faith baffles us all.

Take Trump's campaign slogan 'Make America great AGAIN!

First thought that come to mind is 'how' and the second thing that strikes you right between the eyeballs (where your brain allegedly resides) is 'Again'?

When Was it 'great' and more curiously, when did it STOP being great? [Although I think I know the answer to the second part, it stopped being great right after *'Morning in America!']

[*Yup, it's my favorite 'hobby horse' and I whip it like a red-headed stepchild every chance I get!]

I commented a couple of posts back that a majority of the blogosphere was at least mildly pro-capitalist with the most strident sites believing capitalism is 'the only way'...to the point where the eminent collapse of our 'operating system' is considered a repairable case of 'mismanagement'.

Which moves us a step closer to our real conundrum. Do we 'as a species' (I'm talking everyone here, Gegner may be a lot of things but a weasel he's not!) have a money problem or a legal problem?

Our political weasels are quick to opine 'both' but not because they know why...they don't.

How about you, good citizen? Which side do you come down on given that money is, by its very definition 'a legal construct'?

Give that citizen a cigar! You're right, the problem is LEGAL!

How sad is it that the problem only begins with money and spreads across the entire spectrum with mismanagement and malfeasance at every turn?

I've been in the blogosphere since the 90's and you can only imagine my frustration as people refused to believe what they've been taught all their lives was WRONG!

Where do I get off calling the rest of the nation 'wrong'? Only recently have people started to admit they've been 'mislead', how unfortunate is it that they still seem unable to recognize BY WHOM! [While people have come a long way toward recognizing we are on 'the wrong path', most are still 'TOO DENSE' to realize this is due to there only being ONE POLITICAL PARTY!

So it's down 'the wrong path' regardless.

The greatest obstacle we face as a species is IGNORANCE, read me and your ignorance will be fixed (although no amount of reason can fix STUPID.)

Not that I am the 'sole arbiter' of what needs doing or how it should be done. What I'm NOT SEEING is a whole lot of alternatives out there [that aren't self-serving or ill-considered.]

Far too many are 'faith based'; like the Dark Ages didn't happen!

So we are left to puzzle out whether or not you're a 'people' or not...just who is created equal and when does this alleged equality stop? along with a more perfect union with what..or who?, (which just sounds WRONG for some reason.)

Either way I think I just heard your mind go TILT! so I'll leave it here and wait for your brain to re-boot...

Thanks for letting me inside your head! [If nothing happens hit Ctrl-Alt-Del again...]
