Greetings good citizen! Some lucky stiff in Indianna won Mega-millions for a half a billlion dollars last night and they didn't have to kill anybody for it!
Here's a disturbing thought that makes me go 'Hmmn' and I'm sure it has occurred to you as well. The lottery machine can't predict the winning number but it does know ALL OF THE NUMBERS THAT HAVE BEEN PLAYED. [So it is capable of picking the 'non-winner'.] Now add to that thought that CGI has become really good and there is a two hour delay between when the betting window closes and the drawing video airs and you have a recipe for milking the public, big time.
While the winner got a half a billion dollars last night, the lottery itself got the other HALF! (in case you're wondering why they would bother jacking the pot up into the stratosphere...and people bet 'crazy' whenever the jackpot hits the 'set for life' point...[which varies with individual bettors] Some people could make $15 million work and others would be bankrupt in six months if they won ten times that amount!
The lottery also gets to hold on to the money until it's won (and then some!)
But I digress.
The Lottery COULD BE corrupt but that is neither here nor there; today's topic is 'rinse & repeat'.
More to the point (and not totally unrelated to said lottery scam) is how no matter how many times we revolt, the same people (we could say the same 'type' of people) keep seizing control of the organization we establish to protect us.
Worse, the first thing they do is seize the 'public square' [the media] then erect 'free speech' barriers so their lies can't be challenged.
Then they seize the political process, which is much more vulnerable than you'd think.
So if you sometimes feel like you're wearing a muzzle it's because you are.
Their political operatives don't answer to you and their media will ignore you until you make a pest of yourself, then they'll make a fool of you!
Snap goes the trap!
Funny how a media that can't be held to account leads to a government that is held harmless while the same media uses it for a punching bag and blames it for all manners of sins that aren't even its perview/mandate!
Which is to point out the disgruntled public want the media held accountable but that same media reports the last thing the government is focused on is 'the people's business'.
Have you noticed since 'Morning in America' we have become the most 'compassionate' people on the planet, doting upon every social ill, regardless of how minor?
Who doesn't love puppies? [Because if you complain about the government ignoring the Big Picture, the media points the camera at YOU as the answer to the question 'who doesn't love puppies?']
Ironically 'freedom of the press' means exactly the opposite. The only way to control the media is to own it and that's why we have predatory capitalism!
Conversely, the Internet is 'free' but trying to capture market share on the net is akin to herding cats, so fragmented has our society become.
So the question remains...why is it every time we 'free' ourselves from one oppressor, another one takes their place?
One of the sources appears to be Law Enforcement...widely regarded as honorable people just doing what they're told when we all know they took the job for a different reason.
Reasons we won't go into here.
The other source appears to be at the most basic level, the 'grassroots' of the political process, what used to be called 'the boss system'.
This is why the next revolution needs to be 'airtight' before it begins. That is why I crafted A Simple Plan to put the reins of society beyond the reach of the self-interested.
If we are to enjoy 'the rule of law' [with Liberty and Justice for ALL] we must put the law beyond the reach of those who would exempt themselves from the law!
[Much like King John did after he was forced to sign the Magna Carta 4 times!]
It is assumed John died after he reneged the 4th time but I'm no 'historian'. Just leads one to suspect that 'regicide' was more common than we know. Times were tough and dying young was fairly common so who can say for sure?
As I mentioned yesterday, The 'Great Charter' has once again been 'repealed' by those who have sworn to 'keep us safe' (from THEIR enemies)
Under A Simple Plan you would no longer vote for who would make decisions without ever consulting you, you'd vote directly on the laws everyone would then live under.
The 'self-interested' would have you at the polls every other day, voting for the most inane things they could dream up but that's not how it works.
First, before ANY proposed law could be put to a vote it would have to pass the muster with the 'anti-exploitation law' meaning it is forbidden for a law to favor or discriminate against anyone.
Go ahead and try to pen a BS law now!
The winners of the leadership competitions would decide which proposed laws could be put to a vote and once a year, everyone of voting age would vote, at their convenience, from the comfort of their home.
So yeah, the whole process would change.
There would be no more pretend 'political parties' since we're all in this TOGETHER! The leadership competitions would eliminate the need to elect mind readers to pretend to 'represent us' while bowing to the people that 'bought them'.
You know what the sad part is, good citizen, you wouldn't find one person that would disagree with that indictment, even the politicians would admit it [off the record, of course!]
What of the people that bought other people? GONE, they'd have to do what the rest of us do or they could elect the 'free' alternative, EXILE.
Then there's the other 'trouble spot' and we'd be forced to fix that by denying anyone with a 'history' of law enforcement to engage in that field of employment. (Since discrimination is prohibited, it would have to be 'universal'. If you come from a police family, you couldn't become a member of law enforcement, period.)
Besides, very few that have made a career out of 'serving and protecting' would pass muster with the new (physical and psychological) requirements...making it unnessary to 'ban' them.
Harsh as it seems, the 'Blue Wall' has kept the self-interested safe from prosecution all these centuries. It would be mighty stupid of us to ignore this fact.
I save these little 'rampages off the reservation' for the weekends when traffic is low and only the truly brilliant are seeking to expand their outlook on the situation in general.
Consider my viewpoint and your position as well.
Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks once again for letting me inside your head,
