Greetings good citizen, with an already dismal holiday season approaching [I say that with the utmost 'optimism'] and large swaths of the nation/planet unemployed or struggling to make ends meet [really can't base our collective fortunes on the extremely uneven outcomes ENGINEERED BY the 'fortunate few'.]
Isn't it more than a little ironic that they 'justify' their position by the fact that any one of us would 'trade places' with them in a heartbeat [basically saying the rest of us are just as greedy/self-centered as they are?
As matters stand, most of us would, if we hit the lottery for tens of millions, join the 'idle rich' without ever looking back...and rightly so, one individual against a dozen centuries of ingrained tyranny would be like the proverbial exercise of 'pissing into the wind'.
ONE could do 'good' with their windfall but you'd need to expend all of it to do nobody a favor...and, once your tiny fortune was gone, squandered on people who don't know better, you'd have only succeeded in introducing the poverty stricken to a life they'd LIKE TO BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO!
This is the problem with 'handouts'. Life's tiny 'windfalls' only make the impoverished feel their poverty more acutely. It is understood that you would want to provide a 'pathway' to sustainability, to a life that was considerably better than living in the back seat of an econo-box...but you can't change the world, not alone!
Which brings us to our real question [that still has nothing to do with this being the beginning of 'the home stretch'] and that real question is if the world is so messed up, should I even try to make it a better place?
And the answer is simple. If we don't TRY it will NEVER get better!
If you want to help the downtrodden, you have to change the world!
What does that have to do with Labor Day marking the 'home stretch' in our now 4 year long presidential election cycle?
Look at our 'choices'. I don't walk around wearing a T-shirt with Clint Eastwood's photo, brandishing his famous 44 magnum that says "Go ahead, Make my day, tell me you're voting for HER!
Cuz here we are, just three months until election day and I have yet to meet a single person that is voting for the current front runner!
Do we REALLY have to wait four more years for another chance...well, actually eight more years because Hill WILL WIN 're-election' [the same way St. Ronnie and W did...the same way Hillary looks to be ready to win her bid for the Oval office, through treachery and deceit!]
While I have, in the past, started screaming like my hair was on fire that collapse was eminent, just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it's not about to...
As I commented yesterday, the oligarchs didn't 'surface' [reveal their control of the political process and by extension, our entire society!] to 'fix' things, they surfaced to let us know our doom!
This election cycle demonstrates our collective 'powerlessness' against those who control 'EVERYTHING WE KNOW!'
If you weren't frightened before, now would be a good time to start! [Without fear you won't fight...or even resist.]
Like I said (repeatedly) it's bigger than you think and if you don't wake up soon, it will be too late!
The other side of that coin, good citizen, is that you're being told it already is.
When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and HOLD ON! Where there's life, there's HOPE!
The biggest obstacle standing between you and a brighter future for us all is YOU!
If you think you can, you CAN but if you think you can't you're RIGHT and you need not lift a finger because you've already done all the hard work, you defeated YOURSELF!
