Employment [or the decided lack thereof]

Greetings good citizen, I bid you Happy Monday [but don't ask me what there is to be happy about...]Happiness comes from within, proving I'm more than a little fractured because I'm always happy! This is a little like the Hulk always being angry but this is drifting towards 'UK' [with UK being defined as 'Unnecessary Knowledge'.]

Have fun with that one!

The latest jobs numbers were absymal but truth be told good citizen they've been abysmal since Morning in America.

How many of you are going WHAT?????

YOU don't know any better, most of you weren't even born when Reagan was president. [Which accounts for the misplaced hero worship the ignorant Republican's heap upon that empty suit of his.]

But I digress, back to JOBS and why you don't have one!

In order to understand this phenomenon we have to go way back to when everybody had a farm and grew their own food. Back then there was no 'unemployment'. You may not have had a pot to piss in but you and everyone else you knew had a window to throw it out of!

In these 'agrarian' times currency didn't play a big role in the economy...but 'automation' changed that because the first thing to receive this 'special attention' was food production.

Yessiree! The introduction of heavy equipment onto the farm reduced labor requirements so significantly that a few men could feed thousands. Add pest control and fertilizer into the mix and famine became a thing of the past.

Funny how many food pantrys there are today though, isn't it? This is because A LOT of people [many of who come from families that traditionally grew their own food] can't afford to buy food.

Why can't people afford to buy food?

Same reason a few men now can feed thousands, automation.

We ALL 'used to be' farmers but automation put us out of business. You could buy food cheaper than you could grow your own [which isn't strictly true, the problem is YOU can't grow EVERYTHING, it's the diversification that kills you. You can't 'compete' with an operation that produces huge quantities of a single crop. Which is how capitalism screws you out of providing for yourself.]

UNDERSTAND, it was this being chased off the family farm that made it NECESSARY for you to make yourself USEFUL to the capitalist.

[Roads and schools, both of which drove the local tax rate out of reach for the average farmer [because the co-op now paid spit for your produce] forced a vast majority of farmers to sell their land and go to work in a factory, making widgets.

Well, didn't they turn their 'genius' into the automating of widgets! and Shazam, you were out of a job again!

I preach to the choir when I add that neither time did the capitalist or their meat puppets, the 'elected officials' give a crap!

Which is why nobody gives a crap now that the 'natural accelleration' in population growth is seriously overtaking the non-existent 'job creation' ability of capitalist markets.

Where's the 'new products'? There aren't any!

Which also isn't true but an already overburdened populace can't be taxed at higher rates necessary to drive the next step for humanity...and we can only wonder why?

Mismanagement, it's either that or ET is keeping us from doing what we need to do. [rhetorical statement, there is no 'out']

It's not a coincidence that our economic nosedive and resultant face plant coincides with the cessation of our pursuit of space exploration.

Even more curious is how our infrastructure continues to crumble while billionaires bask in the tropics, sipping rum drinks and laughing at all the idiots that are starving to death because they don't have jobs!

Understand this, don't have and WON'T GET! [neither of which is THEIR problem!]

THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF THINGS THAT NEED DOING, the problem is the unwillingness of those at the top of the food chain to set these plans in motion...because they DON'T WANT TO!

Barring ET forbading them from doing what needs doing that's the only logical reason.

As we approach yet another change in administration, we are faced with realities our so-called 'forefathers' never IMAGINED...and would be clueless to resolve so let's avoid the trap of thinking they could...

Follow the breadcrumbs, this is where they lead.

Capitalism continues to drive towards 'efficiency', destroying the economy in the process.

So what are YOU going to do, good citizen? Fish or cut bait (while the oceans evaporate)?

Thanks for letting me inside your head,

Gegner
