Um, civilization can't survive without accurate, unbiased information...which is a 'tall order' in itself considering how many of you are STILL scared spitless of any number of 'bogeymen'...thanks to the feckless who rely on your fear to keep you in line.

It also contradicts the above statement, civilization [a sadly crippled version of it] has limped along this far through some of the most polluted knowledge streams imaginable...[largely because much of it WAS IMAGINARY!]

Perhaps one of the difficulties facing our species is our failure to recognize and reconcile the fact that much of what we are handed as gospel is garbage [usually of the self-serving variety!]

ANOTHER damning factor against the 'manipulators in the media' is the 'everybody hates us' meme. Most of us could give a shit. We're all caught up in the struggle to keep our heads above water [and on the rare occasion that it isn't our personal crap in the fire, it's that of a loved one we're trying to keep from coming to grief caused by some player shitbag that only thinks they are all that and a heap of cheesy fries...]

Audacity is something that most of us revile but the players among us use it to prove they are 'smarter than you'.

But it's NEVER smart to threaten the people you rely on for your very existence.

But it doesn't stop 'em...which is STUPID writ large!

When will we realize we would ALL be much better off working together than working against one another?

How manic is it to realize for anything [good, bad or indifferent] it's built in to our DNA to oppose part of it just to be 'safe'...

How pathetic people will resist change because even if they hate their current circumstances, they FEAR change more?

I'm not talking about just our Russian brethren here, I'm talking all of humanity...and a now antiquated 'safety mechanism' built into us all to resist 'change' because our makers needed us to stay 'on task'.

Were the shoe on the other foot, most of us would just have to suck it up and roll with it...but the rich aren't like you or I...

The 'bigger question' here is whether or not our species was abandoned here by a Slaver Race after they presumably got what they wanted and left.

Too much of the evidence points to 'genetic manipulation' and more than a degree of callous disregard for the end result.

If we are 'hybrids', tools that were abandoned after the goal was met. Why do we keep treating one another like slaves? [Worse, why do the slavers among us treat the rest like idiots and work diligently to keep us that way?]

I tend to 'overthink' these things, there ARE no 'answers' just more question that slowly and only partially reveal a larger picture.

Both were investigating 'wrong-doing' and both presidents were at least 'implicated'. In Nixon's case he turned out to be guilty as sin...although his 'resignation' was conditional on our never learning the truth.

Will El Trumpo's resignation be conducted with the same proviso?

It [Nixon's 'scot-free' walk away] set the precedent for the Banksters in 2007 so you can rest assured, when Jeff Sessions recommends that he be fired too...(no questions asked) the dummies of Justice (or what passes for it these days) will all nod and mutter 'yup!' and nothing more will be said...or learned.

Makes you wonder where 'national security' ends and personal security begins...

But almost nobody 'tithes' the church as much as they are taxed...not that this figure is relevant either because we spend more on 'DEFENSE' than any other nation on the planet...which, ironically, drives the global market for defense spending!

Work no longer done on these shores, defense 'spending' provides jobs elsewhere...which is both illogical and insane but who said the people 'profiting' from our STUPIDITY are SANE?

[I will tone that particular charge of stupidity down to 'ignorance'...most of us have no say or waste ANY time pondering who does what and why...making it that much easier for the warmongers.]

Your child is told they are being sent to [fill-in-the-blank] and the only choice they have in the matter is 'you're going...to war or the brig, pick one.'

Naturally this begs the question of who is more 'brainless', the ones who decide to go to war or the ones who blindly follow orders and do it?

Worse is all the MORONS who thank the hapless for their 'service'...like their choices weren't do it or go to jail!

If a paycheck is 'good enough' for 99% of us, then it's enough for ALL of us.

Greetings good citizen, I'm feeling guilty about not posting the past couple of days but the schedule has been brutal and today's was downright bizarre but welcome to the 'gig economy'.

Um the Quack-a-doodles that routinely tell us the economy is 'lackluster' are now opining that unemployment has reached a ten year LOW [most states only offer benefits for six months and today's unemployment 'figures' only reflect the number of people COLLECTING, if you got FIRED you aren't even appearing in the numbers so our 'ten year low' tells us PRECISELY NOTHING!

Labor force participation rates are abysmal but you don't see our feckless media pointing the public in that direction.

No, that would be branded 'fake news'!

Said the man pointing to the Elephant in the room, too many workers and not enough jobs...that NOBODY ACROSS THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM is even ACKNOWLEDGING!

WTF!

To paraphrase my last post, how fortunate for those screwing things up that the public is INCAPABLE of using either logic or reason?

What's that word we use for people who don't know how to think? What do we call people like that?

Oh yeah, STUPID!

What is 'full employment' to YOU? [Forget what that bonehead in school told you, think!] (Teachers taught that 'full employment' was 'impossible because of the level of 'turnover' in capitalism [another black mark against it] but that isn't TRUE.

Capitalism REQUIRES a certain level of unemployment so the workers can be replaced if they demand more money!

Same thing applies to shortages in other areas like Dr's. [MD's] We artificially price medical licensing beyond the means of the average applicant, leaving/creating a permanent shortage.

There's screwed up practices across the spectrum of employment that result in huge shortfalls in both goods and services in the meantime you STUPIDLY buy into the idea we are at FULL EMPLOYMENT while the labor-force participation rate hoovers around 50 %


Used to be Okay, wives didn't work but now [thanks to rapacious capitalism] wives HAVE TO work!

Like all the kids that have NEVER Stood in an unemployment line, that same generation doesn't remember some kids having 'stay at home' Moms.

Now the ballbusters want you to believe we've reached 'full employment'?
