Later this evening someone is going to tap their Marauder's Map with their wand and mumble 'mischief managed' to themselves grinning like the Cheshire cat the whole time.

All you'll know is that you've been 'confunded' again, things are all mixed up and you have the vague feeling of apprehension that tells you something isn't quite right.

So citizen, do YOU have any DOPE in your car?

I can see that you don't (as long as you're standing beside your vehicle...)

And no, that isn't supposed to be 'humorous'...it's f'n sad!

What was the last four years all about? Did we set our nation back on the track of prosperity and Justice?

I don't recall ANY of the candidates ever raising those topics...so what just happened?

We had a campaign where one side ran as the 'opponent' of the other and campaigned on the fact that they weren't the other candidate!

This accomplished WHAT? [Precisely...]

Go ahead, admit it, can't start the healing until it's out in the open and we know what we're dealing with!

We discovered you no longer have a fooking clue what YOU are anymore!

We learned this by discovering the 'labels' our fore-bearers relied oh so heavily on are WORTHLESS!

A democrat is not a progressive (although it could be a variety of doormat) and a republican is not a political persuasion at all, its a PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDER!

Greetings good citizen, let us begin with a rhetorical question: if a ghost whistles in a graveyard, can the living hear it?

How about if you're already dead, could you hear it then?

Well, good citizen, tomorrow is it and some are thankful to arrive at the end of what has been a long and tedious campaign season. If the R's don't win you KNOW the next campaign season begins November 10th so enjoy your day off.

Worse, you know that sure as sunrise, no matter WHO gets coronated, gas prices will steadily climb to new heights [just because they can!] The media will come up with something convincing, they always do! Didn't an earthquake just 'devastate' parts of Oklahoma that aren't even involved in oil production? Isn't it peculiar there was nothing about this [plate rattler] on the national news?

Well, it doesn't have to be TRUE, it just has to be 'convincing'.

Yeah, the PEOPLE may not have won anything from our long months of torment and the repeated bashing of our badly broken political system but the Oligarchs will make out just fine!

[Because the Oligarch's control was never in jeopardy, that is why everything comes up roses for the 'self-important few!']

Um, this is the last 'push' for a STRIKE and from the 'response' thus far I'd pretty much tell you myself, set your alarm clock because you don't want to be late for work on Wednesday morning!

Yes, good citizen, we truly are 'NECK DEEP IN STUPID' around here but you don't need me to tell you that; the 'ignorant' have been letting their freak flag fly proudly over these last months of the campaign season!

Left to our imagination is what will follow?

Trump's past came crawling out of the ooze to bite him on the backside...the ONLY reason he got away with as much as he did is due to his choice to run as a 'bat-shit crazy' conservative. [A certain amount of 'nuts' is expected/forgiven if you're a Republican...]

They risked much this campaign season and they WON'T be able to pull this one again next election cycle because 'STUPID' won't put up with it!

[As it is, this most recent debacle isn't 'in the bag' yet...there could still be considerable 'blowback' from the reckless abuses of public anger the media took advantage of.]

Remember, STUPID IS PERMANENT, ignorance can be fixed!

Well, unless they plan on killing off a boatload of STUPID, they're gonna be wandering around out there, upset that things didn't go the way they wanted and we all know that 'reasonable' isn't one of stupid's strong suits.

Picture next election cycle...where the contest is between a card carrying, god fearing [God sat this last election out but next cycle he'll be back with a vengeance!] conservo-evangelical and a certified Circus Freak [hey, ya gotta have a schtick, ya know? This is 'entertainment' after all!]

Yes, good citizen, in case you haven't woken up to the facts yet, the media does 'entertainment'.

Now people took the Trump candidacy in stride because it wasn't too much of a stretch for people to believe someone would be STUPID ENOUGH to try and BUY the Presidency!

So when he tossed his hat into the mix, nobody blinked...it was only a matter of time.

Regardless of what it says about the state of political discourse or social cohesion in our society.

Which sounds too 'frou-frou' for the average citizen UNTIL YOU BOIL AWAY THE 'POLITE WORDING' AND REALIZE IT TRANSLATES TO NOT NEEDING A UZI IN YOUR MITT WHEN YOU STEP OUT TO WALK THE DOG AT NIGHT!!!

The thing YOU need to WAKE UP TO is YOU DON'T HAVE A DOG IN THIS FIGHT! [Neither candidate has your back!]

Maybe it will sink in better if I tell you that YOU WON'T HAVE ONE IN THE NEXT ELECTION EITHER!

Most of you are TOO STUPID to realize you haven't had someone in 'your corner' FOR THE PAST SIX ELECTIONS!

Why do I believe they won't keep pulling the same BS in perpetuity?

Short of doping you [all] into a stupor [they've tried but they can't, too many are allergic] we return full circle to Barnum's axiom...

The only OTHER WAY to 'maintain control' is reduce the number of decision-makers. If voting is restricted to 'just the faithful' then the problem of a restless population goes away.

So expect 'tests' to appear between now and the next election cycle with the argument being the boomers have to [since they're getting older] 'prove' they're still 'mentally competent' to participate in the process.

Worse, your 'voting history' [yeah, they keep track of which ballot you request] determining the 'difficulty' of the test you'll be expected to ace.

But no, 'rigged elections? perish the thought!'

STOP! Look at 'the process'. YOU decide you want to take papers out to be President. Challenge number one that nobody tells you is you have to do this in all fifty states or you're name WON'T APPEAR on the ballot in the states you don't file nomination papers in!

So you need a 'well funded' political machine to go out in each state and gather [I believe the 'average' number is 100 registered voter signatures JUST TO GET ON THE BALLOT.]

Understand good citizen, there are HUNDREDS of candidates for President EVERY ELECTION CYCLE but 99% of 'em never get on the ballot on more than their own state! [Don't have a breakdown of who gets on how many balots although I'm sure the data is out there if you want to track it down.

So there we have 'obstacle A' to the lie of 'anyone' can become president!

Why not 'once & done?'

BECAUSE then we'd have EVERYONE running for president EVERY election cycle!

SO the 'fixers' would cite the 'practicality' of not 'muddying the waters' any more than they already are.

Who is shut out by this, er, 'complication'?

Everyone who 'can't afford' a political machine capable of deploying a national effort.

So what are the odds of ANYONE 'like you' will EVER become POTUS?

Can you say ZIP? You have a better chance of personally meeting 'Spirit in the Sky' than you do of ever becoming POTUS!

[Which is why TV Land's latest exercise in 'mental masturbation' is some political junkie 'accidentally' becoming POTUS when the line of succession gets what's coming to them when a bomb goes off at an Inaugeral Ball somewhere.]

EVEN THOSE GUYS are 'hand picked' from the ranks of the One Percent so Keifer's highly unlikely role has little basis in reality.

How much you want to bet if we were to turn back time to the days of the THREE Major networks, the show would be cancelled in it's first four episodes? I mean, there's fiction then there's this tripe.

But let us soldier on, shall we, just because you can't get your name on the ballot in all fifty states doesn't make the election process 'fixed'...or does it?

Let's return to our decision to make a run at the Oval Office. Where do you begin? You were raised to be a good [whatever your parents were] so odds are you'd start there. If you're going to run on 'the values' you were raised with it only makes sense to run as the candidate for the party you feel the strongest affinity for!

So you go to the R/DNC and present yourself.

After they humiliate you by laughing in your face and calling security to have you escorted out of the building it dawns on you that you probably skipped a couple of steps in the process.

You have to start with your 'state' political organization [because if you can't convince them you're a 'viable candidate' you're dead in the water.]

Have I made it CLEAR yet? There will NEVER be ANYONE EVEN REMOTELY 'like you' in the White House as long as our political process is controlled by [FUNNY] MONEY!

Notice how I bolded 'party' above, that's another piece of the 'rigging'...if we are all in this together, what's this party BS all about?

Bueller? Anyone? Bueller?

Because if we suppose that they 'allowed' you to run as an 'independent' you'd still be paralyzed by not having a 'majority' in...well, ANY house of congress.

So if we 'back it off' a notch and set out sights on running for statewide office what would we find?

Well, you now have the 'once and done working for you and you could even get your name on the ballot without first spending a fortune!

But now we run afoul of the 'Party apparatus' [which is 'chained' to the national organization...they need 'National Approval' before you can be given the 'party nod' to run as the 'Party Representative' for YOUR STATE.

You may be willing to sign off on adhering to the Party Platform you will have had no hand in crafting...which is why ordinary people HATE your [actually both] Party (s) but we're still screwing around with a 'popularity contest here and if you don't have even a tiny 'claim to fame' [like the current POTUS who was a former model!]

If you wouldn't be a contender in a beauty competition then it is unlikely you will fare well against your younger, 'better looking' competitors.

Hey, wait a minute? Isn't this a competition of ideas?

Of course not...in fact, YOUR ideas had best be kept to yourself, you'll run on the issues they tell you to run on or you can pay for the whole thing out of pocket yourself!

Isn't this what's bugging you about the current election cycle? Could the candidates be more OUT OF TOUCH?

That's because they aren't running on the issues that matter to YOU! They're campaiging on a platform designed by the One Percent!

But the 'elections' aren't 'fixed'...oh no.

Let's look at the facts, shall we?

Where is the 'traditional' President in waiting?

Mr. Biden [who has been Vice President for the past eight years and a candidate in the two election cycles prior to becoming Veep] Didn't even enter the race, where he would have been a 'natural choice'...no reason given.

Then there's our Stalking Horse Bernie Sanders who mounted an 'independent' campaign but ran as a democrat! So when he finally got to the convention he folded up like a cheap tent [and has been campaigning for his opponent ever since.]

Now one thing we can all agree on, the media LIES TO US routinely...about EVERYTHING!

There are also the 'lies of omission' where issues important to the regular consumer are 'studiously avoided'...like nobody would CARE about judges handing out hall passes [refusing to prosecute] killer cops on the grounds they had to 'work with these people' on a daily basis.

If that doesn't stop you in your tracks then the whole situation is farther gone than any of us imagines! [And most of us 'stuck a fork in it' a LOOOOONG time ago!]

But I prattle, time to get busy good citizen!

If you haven't already, DON'T VOTE [Local ballot issues, our only arena of 'direct democracy' are permissible, I am going to the polls to vote on the ballot questions but I'm leaving the choice of 'lesser ratfink' blank!

R & D

Greetings good citizen, back in the day 'R & D' stood for Research and Development...but we don't do that here anymore as both are more effectively done where the parts are physically produced.

And thanks to the 'predators' who run our capitalist world, we don't make/innovate much here in the US anymore.

But [and I'm sure some of you anticipated my intent] I am using the 'individual letters' rather than the acronym for research and development.

Funny thing about 'politics', unless the candidate is 'famous' [a war hero for the sake of argument] we know little about them which is why we wound up with entire generations basing their electoral decisions upon the ideological divisions of [predominantly] Catholic Democrats and Republican Protestants.

The D and the R spoke to the voter of the 'values' the candidate held dear. If they were D's, they were compassionate and valued family and stability. If they were R's, they valued hard work and, er, 'thriftiness that was often downright stingy and lead to our modern R's to professing beliefs that border upon 'magical'!

No matter how many times you cut taxes, they can always be cut more! Think about all of the 'tax cuts' the Republican's have bragged about passing over the past FORTY YEARS!

You'd think our school systems graduating dolts that barely recognize their own name when it is shouted at them would smarten them up but they aren't all that bright themselves...

The also prattle on endlessly about the 'value' of hard work...what they don't admit is they truly value the hard work of others. If they have to move so much as a piece of paper across the room you'd think you asked them to re-dig the foundation of the building so the sun wouldn't come in the side window so directly!

Worse, the 'unthinking' don't realize where the budget gets cut when their politicians reduce taxes on commerce.

First item on the chopping block is education followed by public safety, naturally placing civic improvements at the bottom of the budgetary pile.

But I digress...that was then and this is now.

Democrats no longer tout 'strong families and social protection, they too have jumped aboard the bandwagon of 'tax relief for commerce' and protecting the profit margins of shareowners across the spectrum of predatory capitalism while telling the workers the same thing they told the unions during the Reagan years [Shut up and be happy you still have a 'rank and file' to milk!]

Fat lot of good that did them.

Untold is how many of the 'sell-outs' got 'downsized' from the management positions they traded the workers they represented livelihoods for? [hopefully all of 'em.]

Now we are left with acronyms intended to 'simplify' the two, er, 'opposing' political positions, now those letters are totally meaningless!

Leaving us with total strangers running for political office and we have no clue where their 'values' come from? So how do you determine who to vote for? These days it appears not to matter, if you flunk the 'party sniff-test' you won't receive funding and most of us can't afford to run for dogcatcher these days 'out of pocket'...even 'unopposed'.

So, as I have opined many times, what USED TO be a 'badge of value' has been reduced to a meaningless label.

Don't for a single second believe that the already ruined 'Republican' brand can recover from what this election cycle has done to that oxymoron of all oxymorons...'Republican values'.

Naturally, this raises the larger issue if any portion of our worthless political process still retains value. It does to those who speed down the highway at over a hundred miles an hour and flash their badge to make it all go away.

Wouldn't want to be the patrolman that called that one in [on his own chief!] because he goin' to be in a heap o' trouble since the story went viral on the net!

Every once in a while the shitstorm blows both ways but if it had been YOU or ME, we'd be fighting to retain 'our privilege' to drive on the public throughfares...

This is the world we live in and its UP TO US to fix it!

NOTHING gets fixed as long as those who obstruct changes to what currently exists remain in office, thus the 'purge' I was talking about yesterday.

Almost makes you wish it would turn bloody, doesn't it?

Worse is that 'animal' who popped out of his den in South Carolina, CONVICTED of kidnap and rape in Arizona...DID HIS TIME and now his property in SC is a suspected graveyard!

This is what 'mercy' produces.

Disrespect the benefits of civil society and you will be denind those benefits, sent into the wilderness to live like an animal (and quite naturally, die like one as well.)

Which is to offer in my defense the admonition of never trusting those who promise nothing but 'sunshine and rainbows' because they are lying out of both sides of their mouths!

I watched with disgust last night's edition of Real Time played the 'fascist card' in aa feeble attempt to get people out to 'buy in' [support] a badly broken electoral system, telling the overly gullible that not voting is tantamount to voting for Trump!

Bad News Billy boy, Hillary is NO BETTER!

It's time 'The Adults' seize control of our political process...problem is nobody has seen one in a very long time...so we're going to have to perform a 'rules based' take-over.

After yesterday's 'mental health day' [actually the confluence of a late run combined with an early get-up and fasting for that get-up...and the associated aches and pains of swapping out brake pads when you're over 60 caused my absence yesterday.]

So I apologize to my dear constant reader.

Still a little wobbly but the world won't stop for my sorry carcass so let us 'press on'!

Ironically the 'press' [what we have ALL come to call the 'corporate owned media' or 'the lie machine'] is what got under my skin this morning.

I think it diminishes us all when the 'opportunists' among us use such a 'vital resource' for their own purposes. It is a tragedy writ large, the shameless way they 'mold public opinion' so irresponsibly!

War, especially senseless war doesn't make for convincing narratives...which is why the most expensive war in history is being fought in a vacuum.

Trillions spent, zero results...couple THAT with 'record unemployment' and what have you got? A recipe for revolt!

How long will we allow the shameless to squander the planet's future for their personal enrichment?

They have been doing it for time out of mind but at least their forebearers took the precaution of insuring the public 'benefitted' from the trillions [actually billions and so on down the line as we 'regress' through history...a history of 'endless war' if you're paying attention here!

Ever notice our 'leaders' [so they like to call themselves] no longer run for the administration of a peaceful republic so much as they came right out and declared their 'fitness' [despite few of them being 'military men'...or women for that matter] to be 'Commander in Chief'?

I don't know about you, good citizen but I'm not voting for ANYBODY whose greatest claim of 'legitimacy' is their willingness to commit the nation to WAR!

No irony should be lost on the fact that the current two 'Beauties' are hand picked by THOSE WHO OWN THE MEDIA for their HAWKISH stance!

Peace in our time? Bill Clinton reaped the 'Peace dividend' while single handedly dismantling The New Deal, setting the stage for the second global economic collapse!

No 'irony' there at all, the economy is supposed to 'crash regularly', it's what keeps the peasants, peasants!

Um, not to be mean but if we were to face facts, we are long overdue for a purge that would make 'The Terror' pale in comparison...although it needn't be as 'blood thirsty'...the outraged [and out of control] perpetrators commited highly public executions of about ten percent of the people who deserved to have their heads separated from their bodies.

We wouldn't find such an exercise 'carthargic'. It would create more wounds than it healed.

So we'd have to, er, 'settle' for hangings of the most blatant abusers followed by the exile of their followers.

Who among you DOESN'T BELIEVE/REALIZE the most recent financial meltdown [blatant as it was] WASN'T 'payback' for the punishment [that didn't go far enough] doled out by FDR for the first 'Great Depression'?

The 'criminals' have 'broken' the financial system in a manner that insures the only way to rise to wealth is to be BORN THERE!

The Da Vinci's and the Einstiens, heck, even the Edisons among us will remain where they have always been, thoroughly exploited by the uber wealthy.

No irony should be lost that Edison gave birth to GE [General Electric] and on the reverse of a GE stock certificate is the notice that GE is a 'wholly owned subsidiary' of the JP Morgan Guaranty TRUST!

Edison got tiddley-winks while Morgan [already a significant player] got an empire that spanned the globe!

Is there a 'history lesson' here? Does anyone else think it might be a 'good idea' to purge society completely of Morgan DNA?

But the 'disease' that is 'for profit capitalism' isn't confined to a single bloodline, MANY MANY more need to be purged.

In the cases where it's mostly 'ignorance', we might want to spare those who quite literally 'didn't know better'. But if they are unable to adapt to a 'normal life' [one just like everybody else has] then they must pay the price we demand of everyone incapable of appreciateing the benefits of 'civil society'.

The 'irony' here is 'failure to appreciate' is much more common among the 'well-bred' than their impoverished counterparts.

Not that there is a 'lack of resentment' coupled with a deep distrust of the privileged among the, er, 'middle classes'. They too will have to be 'purged' because 'failure to appreciate' isn't confined to just the privileged.

Our 'largely misguided' political classes plainly don't understand they have been played [and they let it happen!]

But if we purge all 'responsible parties' there won't be anyone left...so a goodly percentage will simply have to live with their 'guilty conscience' and 'fake it' for the benefit of their peers who will zealously persecute them [largely to save themselves.]

Which is to point out that there aren't clear guidelines regarding who has been 'used as a tool' and who is 'genuinely ignorant.'

Most of those 'punished' will simply have to live with the 'freshly leveled' playing field [when their wealth is zeroed LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S.]

We ALL start at the 'beginning'.

Hackers can give themselves a boost but woe unto them if they're audited!

The Exile ride never closes...and all you have to do for an instant 'free trip' to lovely downtown Desolationville is get caught with your hand in the cookie jar!

The vast majority of us that will only 'lose' our debts but we'll come out on the other side far better off than when we started.

You'd think 'freedom from indebtedness' would be enough to convince the average citizen that going on strike was worth the effort!

The free house and free transportation, heck free education and healthcare are all just icing on the cake!

[Rule of Thumb: if it's a 'service' it's FREE! The MAIN EXCEPTIONS are Hospitality and restaurants [I know they're both are hospitality but failure to be specific is it's own punishment...and STUPID doesn't know hotels and restaurants are part of the same group!]

Nov. 9th is the beginning of the STRIKE, if on the 10th traffic reporting to work is still hellacious too many MORONS are ignoring the strike so we will regroup and try again Dec 7th.

Trouble in River City

Greetings good citizen, where's Henry Hill when you need him? Back in the day there probably was salesmen that pedaled instruments to marching bands...might even be some out there today but with the net and all I'm sure they no longer storm the town square and 'frighten' the populace with what would happen anyway if the kids were left to their own devices.

In a strange way I'm walking in the footsteps of Henry Hill but I'm not selling musical instruments to keep the juvenile population from becoming 'at risk' for succumbing to the evils of tobacco and alcohol. {One didn't mention the evils of hemp, opium or cocaine in 'polite company' way back when.}

Nope, but today, when (for profit) heroin [a.k.a. opium] is killing kids with no future, wholesale. Like Henry Hill, I'm trying to save you from the (root) cause...for profit capitalism.

The streets are overflowing with drugs not because our 'for profit' prisons are too full to accept any more drug dealers. It's because the drug dealers that SHOULD BE IN PRISON [EXILED actually] are working hand in hand with our ironically 'for profit' DEA to put the victims of their crimes behind bars!

Remember yesterday when I touched upon the subject of 'topics you turn a 'blind eye to' when you strap on your shoes in the morning? Don't hear much about the DEA these days but you hear plenty about the rising death toll due to near pure heroin flooding the nation...do YOU know where heroin comes from?

Afghanistan! [among other places but the afghans are a 'primary source and we even provide the trafficker's with free transit on military aircraft! How's THAT for another shining example of 'your tax dollars at work?'

Where oh where is our media? Why aren't they shining a light on this?

Could it be because their bosses don't want you thinking about what a piss-poor job of running the country our 'for profit' POLITICIANS are doing?

Could it be because this 'for profit' C.F. goes all the way to the top?

Did I mention our nation IS being run by CRIMINALS?

One of the more disturbing ones is the recent 'full court press' by the election stealing media to convince you YOUR VOTE COUNTS.

Because if your vote doesn't count [and it doesn't...BEYOND your BUYING IN to the broken system that DOESN'T SERVE YOU] So why are we listening to all of this nonsense?

YOUR 'PARTICIPATION' is how they guage the effectiveness of their propaganda. If you 'lose faith' in the system it's only a matter of time before the bottom drops out.

That's [given the time of year] the number one item on you're 'must do list'...

Will they use growing 'voter dissatisfaction' as the reason voter turnout is expected to hit record lows?

REMEMBER, IT'S NOT ABOUT WHOSE RUNNING, IT'S ABOUT YOUR 'BELIEVING' YOU'RE 'MAKING A DIFFERENCE!'

That's why I refer to the elections as both 'The ILLUSION of PARTICIPATION' as well as an EXERCISE in HAND WAVING

Ironically 'this*' is one of the first things that gets locked up in your 'just don't go there' mental file of BS you ignore as you prepare yourself for yet another bite of the endless shit sandwich.

You're 'unconscious' 'comply or die' list is in itself brief but it covers a ton of possible situations that could get you in trouble.

You don't 'consciously consider' this, you do it instinctively, it is behavior you 'learn' by watching others.

And trust me, you have see a lot of people, er, 'singled out' for 'behavior unbecoming'...unbecoming of what you may ask? A 'Good Drone'.

Um, much of what you get 'chastised' for doesn't have 'a good answer' so most of you stopped asking. You learned/taught yourself to 'just not go there'.

This has happened SO OFTEN you aren't aware you do it.

This subconscious 'mental shutdown' is also responsible for the rise in wanton stupidity we've been witnessing recently.

Um, your mind really is like a parachute, YOUR'S is 'closed' so you're suffering what comes with that, er, 'decision'.

You do what you do so you don't get fired but when they fire you anyway you will find yourself 'well and truly'.
